Blog 48- Show some affection, and show some SHARPIES.

To start this story off guys, I would like you to know that while filming the following AD. There were policemen just chilling next to us, waiting for an anti-rape march to begin. This wouldn’t be awkward had one part of the clip not been Joe with a knife and me yelling “NO WAIT.” Every time we had to reshoot it, I though a police man was going to come over to me and be like “Ma’am are you being SHANKED by this fine young gentleman?”. nah man its chill, guy has a knife move along fuzz you got stuff to do.

Okay, this was one of my few collaborations throughout these blog posts (if you ignore Riki, Steve, Charlie and Sophia). I really liked my group and I really liked the concept. My Blog post however id about the character I play. I was a girl who was very shy, skittish and introverted. Throughout the skit I say nothing until we get to the tree.Joe pulls out his knife to carve our names into it, that when my character suddenly gets a voice. Whats important is that what caused me to speak up was the tree, It was something I cared about and something I wanted to protect. What gave me the confidence? Sharpie. Being aplomb is being confident even in demanding situations. She had a boyfriend who talked over her, who wanted to do whatever he wanted no matter what her opinion was, but she still pushed back and stood for what she believed in. I think it really relates the brand to a feel good kind of Earth Day Advertisement. Luckily for us It also happened to fit perfectly into the directive, earth day.

Guys, the real struggle was me being shy the whole video. You know who I am. I’m full of nothing but yelling and excited energy. However It made it very interesting to have an introvert play the outgoing one, and an extrovert playing the shy one. It lead to really funny arguments while shooting!
